Frequently Asked Questions

What most people want to know before they start their cake request.

How far in advance should I order?

I recommend at least two weeks. That gives me the time to plan your cake properly and build it with care. If you’re on a tighter timeline, reach out—sometimes I can accommodate a rush order for an additional fee, depending on my schedule.

What happens if I need to make changes to my order?

Small adjustments may be possible depending on timing, but once your cake is in production, changes become limited. The earlier you reach out, the more flexibility I have.

When do I pay?

Once you decide to move forward, I’ll arrange a 50% deposit to secure your order. The remaining balance is due upon delivery.

Do you offer refunds or cancellations?

Once your order is confirmed and a deposit is paid, that date is reserved for you. Because of the planning involved, deposits are non-refundable. If something changes, reach out and I’ll do my best to work with you depending on timing.

Can I request custom designs?

I keep the outside of my cakes simple and intentional. I don’t do heavily sculpted or fondant-based designs, but I’m happy to create something clean and thoughtful for your occasion.

Can I choose any combination of flavors and fillings?

Most combinations are possible. If something feels off balance, I’ll guide you toward a pairing that works better. My goal is always a cake that tastes as good as it looks.

Do you make cakes for children?

I do—but my focus stays on flavor, quality, and simple design rather than character-based cakes. If you have toys, toppers, or edible decorations, I’m happy to incorporate those into the design.

Do you make wedding cakes?

Yes—with a few important notes. I take on a limited number of wedding cakes and focus on smaller to mid-sized celebrations. I don’t do heavy icing, sugar flowers, or elaborate themed designs. My style is simple, clean, and intentional.

I’m happy to work with your florist or incorporate fresh or edible flowers. For larger wedding cakes, I typically require about one month’s notice.

Do you offer tastings or samples?

As a home baker, I don’t offer formal tastings. Instead, I focus on thoughtful flavor combinations and I’m always happy to guide you so you feel confident in your choices.

Do you offer delivery?

Yes—everything I make is delivery-only. It’s how I ensure your cake arrives as intended. I’ll confirm delivery details after reviewing your request.

Can I pick up my order?

At this time, all orders are delivery-only to protect quality and consistency.

Do you provide cake stands or cutting services?

I don’t provide cake stands or cutting services. Cakes are delivered in bakery boxes, and your venue or event team can usually assist.

How should I store my cake?

Keep your cake refrigerated until a few hours before serving. Letting it come closer to room temperature improves both flavor and texture.

How long will the cake keep?

Most cakes are best within 2–3 days. Leftovers can be refrigerated and brought back to room temperature before serving.

Do you accommodate allergies?

Please include any allergies in your request. I’ll always be mindful, but I work in a shared kitchen and can’t guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
